Overview
I am a registered counsellor working in the Huon Valley of Southern Tasmania. I work with people of many ages and many backgrounds, providing support ranging from simple strategies to help with practical everyday concerns; to deeper psycho-emotional processing for complex needs. I work directly with Compassion Focused Therapy techniques, and CFT is the core theory underpinning all my work; integrated with techniques and strategies from other theoretical perspectives as appropriate. I provide services through my business, Huon Counselling, and also work with members of the local aboriginal community via the South East Tasmanian Aboriginal Corporation (SETAC). I hold a bachelor's degree with majors in psychology and philosophy, a graduate diploma in counselling, and am currently completing my honours year in psychology at the University of Tasmania.
